Product Review: Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers from Stampin’ Up

Product Review: Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers from Stampin’ Up I’m so excited to share with you today a new line of markers from Stampin Up’! They are Stampin’ Blends [1]alcohol based markers.

They come in 12 colors with two shades of each color, one light and one dark, there are also 2 skin tones (Ivory and Bronze) and a Color Lifter. The colors match current Stampin’ Up colors so it’s super easy to coordinate your projects with matching ink colors, cardstock, pattern papers and markers. The Color Lifter is a colorless marker that helps “erase” mistakes but also helps blend multiple colors or lifts away color for more options.

And because these markers are alcohol based there are no harsh lines when you color, they blend smoothly and layer easily for wonderful shading. For best coloring results Black Memento Ink and Stampin’ Up Whisper White cardstock are recommended to use with the Stampin’ Blends. Also be sure to store them horizontally on their sides and place caps back on when not using them.

I’m in love with the marker caps, they snap on tightly to prevent the ink from evaporating but there are groves for easy removal, they are the color of the maker and they nest onto each other while working so you don’t lose track of your caps. The markers themselves are square so they won’t roll of your table. To go along with the new Stampin’ Blend markers there is also an adorable new stamp set called Color Me Happy that has great images for coloring and a Color Me Happy project kit that works with the stamp set and markers to create 4 each of 4 different card designs.

I recently got to try out the new markers, stamps and kit and filmed a video showing them in action and completing one of the cards from the kit. You can click here to watch it on Youtube[2] or watch the video below.
