Rainbow Six Siege: No ETA on Fix for Purchase Issues

On the day Season 3 arrives…

Rainbow Six Siege players on multiple platforms are currently unable to spend in-game currency on new items or operators, and Ubisoft doesn’t know when the issue will be fixed. Reports of the problem – which sees the game failing to complete purchases with either earned currency Renown or paid-for R6 Credits – began yesterday, and have continued since. Reports have come in of the problem occurring on Xbox One, PS4 and PC – we’ve confirmed that the problem is ongoing on PS4.

Ubisoft representatives have confirmed that they’re looking into the problem, but a post on the Rainbow Six Siege Official Forum says, “Unfortunately we do not have an ETA at the moment.”

It’s unfortunate timing – Siege is launching its third season today, adding new items, two new operators, and Outbreak, a timed-event which sees the R6 operators face an extraterrestrial virus. The game’s current Chinese New Year event also includes items only available for a limited time, meaning players could miss out on getting hold of them. We have contacted Ubisoft for more information.
