Halo: Fireteam Raven Arcade Game Announced

Microsoft and 343 studios have announced Halo: Fireteam Raven, a new four-player cooperative arcade game in partnership with Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix. The Halo-themed sci-fi shooter drops players in the role of ODST soldiers on the surface of Alpha Halo during the events of Halo: Combat Evolved fighting alongside the Master Chief against both the Covenant and The Flood. The cabinet is billed as a massive, 11-foot-cubed, coin-operated machine, housing a 130-inch 4K display and four “turret-mounted, multipurpose machine guns” to shoot at enemy troops and land- and air-based vehicles, including: Hunters, Banshees, and Scarabs.

Additionally, you’ll be able to scan a QRC code with your phone to connect your experience to Halo Waypoint profile and chase high scores with others.

“Arcade games are a wholly different challenge compared to console and PC gaming,” said Kiki Wolfkill, Head of Halo Transmedia at 343 Studios. “We’ve learned a tremendous amount as we worked with Raw Thrills to make this happen.” The cabinets are coming first to select Dave & Busters locations in the United States and Canada this summer, before rolling out to more locations in the fall.
