Ms. Marvel Co-Creator Takes Over Wonder Woman at DC

Wonder Woman #58 comes out on November 14.

DC Comics’ ongoing Wonder Woman series is getting a new creative team, with Ms. Marvel co-creator G. Willow Wilson taking the helm.

Per Newsarama, Wilson and artist Cary Nord are taking over starting with Wonder Woman #58, which will be released on November 14. The storyline will follow Wonder Woman trying to find and save Steve Trevor after his military unit goes missing. Diana Prince will investigate inside a war-torn Eastern European country and will also run into the God of War, Ares, who Diana will try to redeem.

“I’m delighted to be writing such an iconic character as Wonder Woman and to be working with DC once again,” Wilson said in a statement.

“With more than 75 years of history, Wonder Woman has a wealth of backstory and drama to draw from, and I look forward to putting a spin on Diana and her supporting cast that’s both new, yet familiar.” Wilson co-created the new Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan.

This will be her first DC work since signing an exclusive agreement with Marvel back in 2014. Meanwhile, Wonder Woman will soon make her return to the big screen with Wonder Woman 1984, which hits theaters on November 1, 2019.
