Unproduced Alien 3 Script Is Getting Adapted Into a Comic

William Gibson’s Alien 3 #1 comes out on November 7.

William Gibson’s unproduced Alien 3 screenplay is getting adapted into a comic. Per CBR, Dark Horse Comics is turning the script into a mini-series, with the first issue coming out on November 7. Gibson wrote the screenplay in 1987 based on existing treatments.

However, it eventually got discarded during the film’s tumultuous development process.

William Gibson’s Alien 3 cover, via CBR. Gibson’s story would’ve sidelined Sigourney Weaver’s Ripley, instead focusing on Bishop (Lance Henriksen) and Hicks (Michael Biehn). The mini-series will simply be called William Gibson’s Alien 3, and it will hail from writer/artist Johnnie Christmas.

Tamra Bonvillain will be handling the colors. Dark Horse Comics is also now making high-end limited-edition collectibles. Alex Gilyadov is a writer for IGN.
