Vodafone, O2 and Three are also investigating the implementation of 5G across their networks too.

5G has been rolled out in the UK slower than expected due to security concerns regarding hardware.

Specifically, Huawei hardware has been called into question as both Australia and the US has prevented it from being used in 5G networks there.

Marc Allera, Head of the Consumer division at BT (EE’s owners) released a statement where he said customers could expect to enjoy faster speeds and better reliability. “We have the ambition to connect our customers to 4G, 5G or wi-fi 100% of the time.”
