Somerset cannabis guru launches new sex oil product with Lovehoney

A cannabis oil company based in Somerset has teamed up with adult toy company Lovehoney to create a cannabis-based sex oil.

Lovehoney, based in Bath, specialises in sex toys, lingerie and erotic gifts and has now teamed up with Beckington-based cannabis oil company George Botanicals to make the specialist product.

The massage oil is made using CBD, a chemical in cannabis that is extracted from the plant.

CBD is classed as a food supplement so George Botanicals, based near Frome, is unable to advertise them for well-being benefits, although research has found it helps people with sleeping problems, anxiety and pain management. It is also used by athletes.

A different sexual experience

Research has apparently found that the CDB in the massage oil can give couples a different sexual experience rather than using normal oil.

It’s been claimed the cannabis oil can enhance your sexual experience and libido by increasing blood flow, increasing tactile sensations, heightening awareness and relaxing your body.

Reviewer ‘adores’ the massage oil with a twist

The product has received a mix of four and five star reviews so far on the website.

One reviewer said: “I absolutely adore this massage oil!

“It smells lovely on my skin, it has a warm and musky scent that reminds me of having a luxurious spa treatment.”

Several American companies also market a similar product with similar reviews.

Apothecanna markets a ‘Sexy Time Personal Intimacy Oil’ made using cannabis and describes some of the benefits.

It says: “Sexy Time uses all-natural plant extracts to enhance sensitivity and provide glide without the slippery feel of silicone, dehydrating effects of alcohols, or ancillary ingredients that can cause irritation and inflammation.”
