There are brilliant cheap iPad deals available all year if you know where to look. Here at Macworld we are always on the look-out for great offers and discounts on iPads, and we share the very best with you here every day – not just on Black Friday, or in the January sales.

We’ll help you find the best place to buy an iPad, whatever your budget. You’ll find deals on the latest models, including the iPad Pro, but also on older models that are still worth buying and could offer huge savings.

If you’ve yet to decide which model of iPad you’d like to buy, check out our iPad buying guide.

Apple released two new iPad models in March: the iPad Air (2019) and new iPad mini replace the 10.5in iPad Pro and iPad mini 4 respectively.

You’ll still find the discontinued models available from some retailers, and these are likely to come down in price further as resellers discount their stock in order to shift it. We’ll be sharing the best deals on older models and the newest models right here.

1. Apple iPad Air (2019)

From: Amazon

Was: £479

Now: £459  (£20 off)

Not an enormous saving, but it’s surprising to see any discount at all on the new iPad Air so soon after launch. This price applies to all three colour options.

2. Apple iPad Pro 9.7in (2016, refurbished)

From: Apple Refurbished Store

Was: £519

Now: £399  (£120 off)

This is the cheapest you’ll find an iPad Pro. Apple’s Refurbished Store is a great way to get iPad deals, and this 2016 model is no exception.

3. Apple iPad Pro 11in (2018)

From: Amazon

Was: £769

Now: £719  (£50 off)

Here’s the lowest price we can find for the latest generation of iPad Pro – this is the 11in model with 64GB and Wi-Fi. The same price applies to both colour finishes.

4. Apple iPad 9.7in (2018)

From: Amazon

Was: £319

Now: £285  (£34 off)

It’s always been hard to get a big discount on the iPad 9.7in (2018), which was good value at full price – but it’s a year old now, and faces competition from the 2019 models, so the savings are starting to kick in. This has dropped by a tenner since mid-May.

5. Apple iPad Pro 10.5in (2017, refurbished)

From: Apple Refurbished Store

Was: £529

Now: £449  (£80 off)

6. Apple iPad Pro 12.9in (2018)

From: Amazon

Was: £969

Now: £919  (£50 off)

A handy saving on the Cadillac of iPads – Apple’s latest 12.9in Pro (admittedly with the minimum storage and no cellular, but still). This is £17 cheaper than in April; bigger discounts still may follow if you don’t need to buy right away.

7. Apple iPad mini (2019)

From: Amazon

Was: £399

Now: £389  (£10 off)

An unexpected but pretty small discount on the latest generation of iPad mini. This price applies to the silver and Space Grey finishes; the gold version is a tiny bit more expensive.

8. Apple iPad

From: KRCS

Now: Up to £37 off

KRCS is cutting prices for the entire iPad range. Most are pretty small discounts but there are some handy savings to be made on certain models.

Refurbished iPads at hugely discounted prices. Wondering whether refurbished iPads are worth buying? See our complete guide

10. Apple Education Store Discount

Now: Save on Macs, MacBooks and iPads

Apple Refurbished Store

One of our favourite tricks for iPad deals is the Apple Refurbished Store, where you’ll find iPads with huge discounts. These are items that have been returned, but you will really struggle to spot any evidence of that.

Apple replaces the battery and outer shell of every refurbished iPad, and you’ll still get all of the accessories and manuals that would come with a new model. Plus, you’ll also get the same one-year warranty as you would with a brand-new iPad.

The only thing that gives the game away is the box – Apple replaces the original with a white box to prevent people from buying the discounted models and selling them as new.

You can take a look at iPads in the Apple Refurbished Store.

Of course, the Refurbished Store isn’t the only place offering savings on iPads. You can find great deals elsewhere and we’ve scoured the web to find them.

Where to find iPad deals

It’s worth checking for iPad deals (as well as related accessories such as cases and stands) from the following retailers:

We have a whole host of articles on iPad cases and accessories that you can find here. Some highlights include:

If you’ve found that you’re missing out on Amazon’s Lightning deals, which run for just a few hours and offer limited stock, we’d recommend signing up for Amazon’s 30-day free Prime trial, which will get you access to deals 30 minutes before everyone else. Plus, you’ll get free next-day delivery, as well as access to Prime Instant Video and more.

iPad Air 2019 deals

The new iPad Air is available to buy now from Apple itself starting at £479/$499. You can get a moderate discount on this if you buy from Amazon instead.

Here’s a selection of resellers you should check for the latest deals on the iPad Air:

New iPad mini deals

It’s the same story for the new iPad mini – Apple is selling the iPad mini now starting at £399/$399 on its website but you can get a discount if you try Amazon instead.

Better deals may be out there, and we’d recommend trying the same list of resellers above for the latest offers.
