The Tick Canceled: No Season 3

No Season 3 for Amazon’s The Tick.

After two seasons, Amazon’s The Tick is coming to an end. Series creator Ben Edlund shared the sad news early today via Twitter.

Per Variety, Edlund said, “I’m sorry to say Amazon has chosen not to proceed with [The Tick]. I’m not sorry to say I love this show, its cast, its story, and its message. Destiny demands that my compatriots and I now seek a new home for this series.”

Edlund goes on to thank all of the #LunaTicks and #LunaTickArmy for their support.

Edlund is also the creator of the original comic book, which made its debut in 1986. Before its debut on Amazon, The Tick was adapted into an animated series on Fox in 1994, and a live-action series starring Patrick Warburton in 2001.

Amazon’s adaptation featured the acting talents of Peter Serafinowicz, Griffin Newman, and Valorie Curry. You can check out our spoiler-free review of Season 1 right here.
