Lady Gaga Asked What Fortnite Is and the Internet Answered Perfectly

Lady Gaga, the musician, actress, performance artist, Oscar/Emmy/Grammy-winner and woman responsible for getting Bad Romance stuck in your head since 2009 has asked Twitter what Fortnite

is, and the Internet responded beautifully. On October 15, not long after Fortnite Chapter 2 went live following the black hole event that destroyed the old island map and set social media alight, Gaga simply tweeted, “What’s fortnight.”

Misspelling aside, the Internet immediately knew what she was referring to, and jumped in on the fun. Fans predicted this was a clue that Gaga would drop new music in two weeks (LG6 refers to Lady Gaga’s upcoming sixth studio album), and IGN even managed to get a couple of fun responses in too.

Here’s what the internet told Lady Gaga “fortnight” was:

Ninja’s (Edge of) Glorious Reply

Famed Fortnite streamer Ninja got a reference-laden reply in, jokingly asking Gaga to call him and play the game together. While this reply was clearly a means to make some solid Lady Gaga song puns, some were quick to question Ninja’s past comments, as he previously said he wouldn’t stream with female gamers out of respect for his wife and to avoid any sort of negative rumors.

Social media has been abuzz with some of the latest Fortnight developments, including several concerned parents flooding the Fortnite helpline trying to figure out why their kids couldn’t play for one whole day.
