Apple Announces New iPad Air with Integrated Touch ID on Top Button

Apple has announced a new iPad Air with an all-screen design and a top button that has a new integrated Touch ID.The new iPad Air has a 10.9-inch screen with a resolution of 2360×1640. It also comes in five colors – Space Gray, Silver, Sky Blue, Green, and Rose Gold – and supports both Apple Pencil and the Magic Keyboard.

It will become available in October and will start at $599 USD. It also features Apple’s new A14 Bionic chip (5nm) that boasts 40% faster CPU performance, 30% faster graphics, 10x faster machine learning, and allows for 4K editing on the iPad Air.

Furthermore, it has a USB-C port instead of Apple’s Lightning port, 60% faster LTE, and Wi-Fi 6.

It features a 12MP rear camera that can shoot 4K/60FPS and a 7MP FaceTime HD front-facing camera with Smart HDR and video capture at 1080p/60FPS.

While we don’t yet know the exact release date for the new iPad Air, Apple did reveal the iOS 14 will be launching tomorrow, September 16.

Alongside the Apple Air, Apple also revealed the Apple Watch Series 6, a new 8th generation iPad, and the new Apple One subscription and Fitness+ workout service.
