I tried a £13 primer that ‘hides all imperfections’

Keeping your skin hydrated sometimes needs to go a bit further than your average moisturiser.

For those of us that wear makeup on a daily basis – or even if it’s just every so often – primer can be the perfect way to prep and protect your skin.

Primers create a barrier between your skin and your makeup products so there’s a bit of extra moisture – and your makeup will stay where you put it.

However, it’s hard to find one that does exactly what it says on the tin.

I recently stumbled across the reviews for BPerfect’s Perfection Primer, and with the many changes in weather I’ve been looking for a product that will help my skin feel hydrated and soft.

According to reviewers on the BPerfect website, the product is “fantastic” and leaves the skin evened out and silky.

One reviewer said: “Love love love this! best primer I’ve ever purchased so soft silky. Hides all imperfections leaves skin feel smooth. You can wear it on its own if your having a no make up day. Will definitely be purchasing again”.

A second wrote: “This is the best primer I have ever used. Your makeup goes on flawlessly and it smells divine. It leaves your skin feeling amazing and packed with vitamins and camellia oil. It’s a must have. I cannot go without this primer”.

A third added: “The best primer I’ve ever used, made my skin smooth for my make-up application, blurs out pores, it makes my make-up look flawless. Will definitely be buying again when I need some more.”

Since the reviews were so good, I decided to order the primer and give it a go. And it won’t be the last time.

The clear primer is a gel that smooths onto the skin seamlessly, giving instant hydration to even the driest parts of my face – a miracle, considering the tough time my skin is facing at the minute.

A little goes a long way, but it’s also buildable, which is great for any areas that need a little extra help.

The soft product left my skin smooth throughout the day, and I didn’t feel like it dried out at all. My makeup stayed where it should and my skin didn’t feel dry at all after removing it; something I’ve dealt with a lot with other products.

One of the best things about this product is the fragrance, which isn’t something I’d usually like. The subtle scent provides a sense of luxury and it lingers on the skin all day.

The BPerfect Perfection Primer is priced at £12.95 and is available from BPerfect and BeautyBay.
